I am a PhD candidate at the Utrecht University School of Economics, supervised by Inge van den Bijgaart and Jacob A. Jordaan. My dissertation is on climate policy design for household decarbonisation.
I work on the design and evaluation of climate policy, and in particular on who gains from the instruments meant to decarbonise households, and at what public cost. Most of my current research combines Dutch administrative microdata from Statistics Netherlands (CBS) with quasi-experimental designs and the Marginal Value of Public Funds framework, applied to heat pump subsidies, zero-interest green loans, and the political economy of support for climate policy.
Before starting my PhD I completed an MSc in Environmental Economics at the University of Turin and a BSc in Economics at Sapienza University of Rome. In autumn 2025 I visited the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and TU Berlin, hosted by Linus Mattauch.
At Utrecht I teach econometrics and macroeconomics, and supervise bachelor’s theses.
